Proudly Launching In-Home Care Services in Austin, TX, on 7/22/21

DispatchHealth is excited to begin offering its industry-leading in-home care services to the residents of Austin, Texas, starting July 22, 2021. We’ve opened more than 30 locations since our company’s founding in 2013, and we look forward to serving the members of Austin’s vibrant community.

What Sets DispatchHealth Apart?

At DispatchHealth, we believe that home is where your health is™. That’s why we’ve made it our goal to bring top-notch care directly to patients who would prefer not to leave the house for treatment. Our caring and compassionate providers can treat almost everything an emergency room can, except for life- or limb-threatening or time-sensitive emergencies. In addition, our mobile care teams consist of a medical technician and either a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner (an emergency room physician is always available by phone), and our kits include almost all of the tools and technologies typically found in an ER. So when you rely on DispatchHealth for treatment, you’ll be able to relax in the comfort of your own home until our team arrives and you receive the care you need in relaxed, familiar surroundings.

If you’ve never used DispatchHealth’s in-home care services before, you might be concerned about cost. Surely having first-rate medical care delivered right to your door carries a hefty price tag, right? Wrong. Our home care services are very affordable—we’re in-network with most insurances. As a result, our services usually cost the same amount as a traditional urgent care visit, with most patients paying $5 to $50 after insurance. We’ll even take care of billing your insurance company (we’ll also call in any prescriptions and update your doctors as needed).

People We Serve

Patients of all ages—ranging from 3-month-old infants to older adults—can rely on DispatchHealth for in-home care. Although we treat almost everyone, the individuals who tend to find our home care services particularly helpful are those who have difficulty leaving the house for treatment. For example, if you have any of the following conditions, we can make it significantly easier for you to get the medical care you need:

  • Alzheimer’s or another type of dementia

  • An intellectual and/or physical disability

  • An illness or injury causing mobility limitations (such as multiple sclerosis, a stroke, or a traumatic brain or spine injury)

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • A social phobia

Conditions Treated

The skilled providers at DispatchHealth have experience treating a wide range of injuries and illnesses (both acute and chronic). Some of the conditions that we most commonly treat include:

We’re pleased to also offer in-home care for COVID-19, including both testing and treatment. We’ve taken every precaution to ensure the safety of our patients and team members, including wearing protective eyewear, surgical masks, and gloves to every appointment (as well as N95 respirator masks, gowns, and shoe covers whenever we’re treating a patient with COVID-19 and/or respiratory symptoms). We also wipe down our kits and disinfect our cars before and after each visit and between shifts.
