Call us for professional wound care

Accidents happen. When they occur to you or your family, DispatchHealth stands ready to help. Our qualified medical teams treat minor, non-life-threatening cuts, lacerations, abrasions, and many other wounds – not at a crowded urgent care center, but in the comfort and convenience of your own home. We understand that cutting your finger in the kitchen or watching your child trip on concrete can be a panicky moment, and driving to a medical clinic in such a circumstance isn’t ideal. That’s why our professionals will come directly to you during the day, in the evening, or on a weekend to provide comprehensive medical treatment for cuts, lacerations, abrasions, and non-life-threatening conditions. We offer many of the same services as a traditional facility-based healthcare center.

If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

When to seek medical attention

It’s never a bad idea to seek medical care following an accident that results in a cut, laceration, or abrasion. Even if the wound appears to be relatively insignificant, the risk of infection is still present. It is particularly important to visit a medical professional if your wound is accompanied by:

  • Redness, swelling, or tenderness
  • Red streaks around the injury
  • Pus or another type of discharge
  • A fever higher than 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Numbness or tingling sensations

In the event that someone around you has a wound with uncontrolled bleeding or has lost consciousness, call 911 immediately.

If left untreated

Cuts, lacerations, and abrasions that are not properly cleaned, bandaged, or stitched could potentially become infected and trigger more serious complications. If you or a loved one needs prompt treatment for a wound outside of an emergency medical condition, DispatchHealth is here to be of assistance. Contact us today to request care – we treat patients of all ages, accept all major health insurances, and offer competitive rates.

  • They brought everything you would see in an emergency room, but the emergency room was our bedroom! They set up an IV. They knew what they were doing. And they were very personable. We never felt rushed. And the insurance covered it all. We didn’t have to pay a dime.
