Caren Misky, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC completed her undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s University and received a Masters in Nursing from the University of Colorado, Denver. She has been instrumental in the foundation and development of DispatchHealth’s mobile acute care EMS Pilot and ED Diversion Program. Through this work, Caren has helped grow and develop the Advanced Practice Provider led practice. Caren sits on the Executive Team and is responsible at a national level for Leadership Development of APPs, provider practice enablement and education. Caren is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Specialty Practice Group of Emergency Medicine. She was honored for her innovative nursing practice and received the very distinguished Nightingale Award in 2017.
Caren has developed training and didactic programs for the provider group and is a champion of nursing, clinical excellence and providing care The DispatchWay. She has launched the APP Clinical Educational program within DispatchHealth and has been a guest lecturer at Emory University on innovative models of care. She has developed content for Preceptor Training Modules and was a presenter at the annual Fire and Life Safety Educators Conference on the topic of “Aging and its Impact on Human Vulnerability,” in 2016. She completed the Managing Health Care Delivery Course at Harvard Business School and is currently an active board member for the APP Executive organization.
