Dr. Knowles joined Dispatch Health in July 2019 as Medical Director for the Springfield Market. Dr. Knowles received his medical school education at New York Medical College. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services (prehospital medicine) at UMass Medical Center.
He is currently dual board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services. He also serves as the Associate Regional EMS Medical Director for Baystate Health and continues to work as an Emergency Medicine physician at Baystate Medical Center, Baystate Wing Hospital and Baystate Mary Lane Outpatient Center.
