Shannon Werb brings over 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive (CEO, COO, CSO, and CIO) and a demonstrated history of driving value creation in the provider and related technology spaces. His accomplishments include leading a startup to successful acquisition and helping to engineer a private equity-funded turnaround with eventual strategic partner exit.
A software and technology visionary, Mr. Werb drives exceptional performance in all aspects of management including strategy, corporate culture, technology and operations. Prior to joining DispatchHealth, Mr. Werb most recently served as President and COO of vRad, a MEDNAX Company and the nation’s leading radiology physician services and telemedicine company. He is the only non-clinical member of IBM’s Watson Health Imaging Advisory Board and previously served as Chief Operating Officer & Chief Strategy Officer of Acuo Technologies.
He managed a portfolio of healthcare-related IP and technology patents while also directly holding a number of patents on workflow and uses of artificial intelligence in a telemedicine environment. He has authored dozens of articles, including peer-reviewed journal publications, white papers and presentations. Mr. Werb has been invited to deliver lectures around the world on the operational, clinical and financial benefits of technology solutions, telemedicine, data and analytics and artificial intelligence in medicine.
