She is among a small class of nurse practitioners recognized for their outstanding achievements with induction into the prestigious Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP). Misky will join an elite and diverse group of 965 nurse practitioners who have made — and who continue to make — a positive and profound impact on national and global health. In its 23rd year, the program is dedicated to the advancement of nurse practitioners and the high-quality health care they provide. Recognized as leaders who have made outstanding contributions to education, policy, clinical practice, and research, AANP Fellows volunteer their expertise as reviewers, topical experts, committee members, journal contributors, and mentors.
In her role at DispatchHealth, Misky has been instrumental in building our nation’s first and most extensive in-home system of care. She is an innovative leader, educator, and champion of clinical excellence. She has integrated a cost-effective, high-quality, in-home emergency and transitional care model focusing on improving clinical outcomes and access to care for vulnerable populations nationwide. Misky has helped grow and develop DispatchHealth’s advanced practice provider (APP) led practice and developed training and didactic education programs for its health care professionals. Furthermore, she has been a guest lecturer at Emory University on innovative models of care and holds a seat on the executive board with APPex, Advance Practice Provider Executives. And in 2017, she received the very distinguished Nightingale Award and was inducted as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing in 2021.
