Your Patient Care
Each DispatchHealth medical team that arrives at the patient’s home includes either a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, along with a medical technician. An ER physician is always available by phone for consultations.
DispatchHealth Follows up With You and Your Patient
DispatchHealth fully documents your patient’s visits and sends clinical documentation back to you via fax 24-48 hours post-visit. Additionally, DispatchHealth follows up with every patient within three days and refers back to you for additional care as needed.

When NOT to call DispatchHealth
If the patient is experiencing any of the following symptoms, call 911:
- Chest pain
- Intentional overdose or suicidal thoughts
- Loss of consciousness
- Loss of vision
- Moderate to severe shortness of breath
- Rectal bleeding
- Severe abdominal pain
- Stroke symptoms: numbness or weakness on one side, difficulty speaking, swallowing or walking
- Vomiting blood

You can call on behalf of your patient or have your patient call DispatchHealth directly. DispatchHealth will fax you detailed clinical notes once the patient visit is complete. Additionally, DispatchHealth will follow up with every patient within 3 days and refer back to you for additional care as needed.”

Humana is a Medicare Advantage [HMO, PPO and PFFS] organization. Humana is also a Coordinated Care plan with a Medicare contract and a contract with the Medicaid program.
