Tom has been a career healthcare professional after starting his career with General Motors/EDS Division in Detroit. His work has spanned the range from insurance company (UHC) to direct care providers including hospitals, clinics, home health and hospices. He has served as chair for the National Council of Hospice and Palliative Professionals; Finance/IT section. He also served on the board of directors as Chair and treasurer for Via, a transit service for the elderly and medically fragile.Tom's work in healthcare was influenced by his mom, a career nurse.
Tom received his MBA from the University of Thomas, St Paul, Minnesota with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. His undergraduate degree is from Saint John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota. As an influence from his dad, a career school teacher, Tom has been a college professor teaching accounting, finance and healthcare administration since 1999.
In his spare time, Tom is an Improv actor, avid bicyclist, golfer, skier and fan of theater, both live and film.
