DispatchHealth is very excited to announce that we’re launching our services in Kansas City, Kansas, on June 24th, 2021. Locals will have access to our unique mobile medical care where, upon request, a team of compassionate and caring providers will arrive at your doorstep ready to treat a wide range of conditions, illnesses, and injuries. In short, we aim to make prompt medical care accessible to all.
Home is Where Your Health Is™
Why has DispatchHealth’s unique service become a staple in locations across the nation? We aren’t your average acute care providers. Our mobile healthcare teams consist of a medical technician and either a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner (an emergency room physician is always available by phone). Upon request, they’ll arrive at your doorstep fully prepared with kits that include almost all of the same tools and technologies found in a traditional emergency room—testing for and treating nearly everything that an emergency room can, so long as it’s not a life-threatening or time-sensitive emergency. Best of all, our same-day, in-home service is affordable. We’ve partnered with the leading health insurance companies—including Medicare and Medicaid—to ensure that your care is covered under your current plan.
Comprehensive In-Home Care
Medical care should be accessible to all; it’s something that DispatchHealth believes in and one of the many reasons why we’ve made sure to cater our service to people of all ages and in many conditions. That said, our service has proved to be particularly beneficial for individuals who are homebound due to an existing health condition or have exacerbated symptoms from a recent injury/illness. Some of the most common illnesses, injuries, and conditions that we treat include:
- Asthma and allergies
- Bedsores and pressure ulcers
- Eye infections
- Flu (influenza)
- Food poisoning
- Infected wounds
- Minor sprains and strains
- Sinus infections
- Strep throat
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
We also offer pediatric urgent medical care services to parents in need of prompt support for their sick kiddos (over 3 months old). In situations where basic diagnostic testing or minor procedures are required, DispatchHealth can perform:
- 12-lead EKG, PT/INR
- COVID-19 testing
- Flu testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Strep testing
- Stool culture
- Urinalysis and urine culture
- Catheter placement
- IV fluids
- Splinting, staples, and suturing
And, should you require any additional imaging or screening services, our team will collaborate with a third-party, in-network imaging company as well as follow up with your primary care team to ensure continuity of care.
