DispatchHealth has been certified as a Great Place to Work® for 2021. It’s a high honor to receive this distinction, as it means our employees have a positive outlook on our company and working for us. This certification is only given to companies in which the majority of employees state, in a completely confidential survey, that they believe that their workplace is a great place to work. We’re so happy that our team members feel this way!
How We Became a Great Place to Work Certified Company
Great Place to Work focuses on recognizing high-performing workplaces, specifically the company’s workplace culture and employee satisfaction. It has examined thousands of workplaces in over 50 countries, creating and developing data on what makes a workplace positive and engaging. It is the only certification that is based entirely on employee reporting and has become the global authority on identifying outstanding workplaces.
To be eligible for this certification, a company must have 10 or more employees, administer a confidential employee experience survey to all employees, and receive enough responses to meet or exceed Great Place to Work’s certification threshold (less than 10.5% margin of error at a 90% confidence level in the results). A culture assessment that reflects employee demographics and company programs must also be administered at the time of the survey.
To receive the Great Place to Work certification, at least seven out of 10 employees who fill out the survey must report that the company is a great place to work.
The Importance of Becoming a Great Place to Work
At DispatchHealth, we don’t take our designation as a Great Place to Work lightly. In fact, we consider it one of the highest honors showcasing that we have created a positive workplace culture where our team members are satisfied, fulfilled, and happy. In fact, 77% of our team members stated that DispatchHealth is a great place to work—which far exceeds the 59% average of employees at typical U.S.-based companies. Not every company that applies to become a Great Place to Work earns the distinction; many companies do not meet the criteria and quickly learn that their workplace culture isn’t up to par. Earning the Great Place to Work certification which is solely based on the responses from our team members has been an incredible journey for us.
What’s more, being a Great Place to Work means that we can elevate our status during the recruitment process, ensuring we hire top talent and can fill positions more quickly. We’re also able to retain our current employees and seek ways to improve workplace culture to make it even better than it already is. That’s a win/win for everyone!
