Pioneering a movement as significant as the shift to high-acuity healthcare delivery in the home is only possible with a collaborative group of incredibly talented innovators. Of course, we have known for years that Lindsay McGuiness, MSN, BSN, RN is one of our many trailblazers, but affirmation is solidifying. With that, we are thrilled to announce that Lindsay, DispatchHealth’s senior director of nursing, is recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of its 40 Under 40 honorees! Lindsey is among a select group honored for their combination of professional accomplishments and community involvement.

While it may be unique to see a registered nurse recognized among the best and brightest in business, Lindsay’s work helping to develop a nationally recognized program in high-acuity in-home care represents the immense leadership skill and community passion emblematic of this award. She has been an integral part of the DispatchHealth team for over three years and, in that time, has made a significant impact on the organization.

During her tenure, Lindsay has been a driving force behind developing and implementing the company’s Advanced Care program, which provides in-home care as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization. Lindsay has played a vital role in building and refining this innovative care model by working closely with physicians and advanced practice colleagues. Her contributions have been critical to the program’s success, from developing creative care workflows and operational processes to training and engaging interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

The Advanced Care program was launched in Denver in October 2019 and quickly expanded to a second market in Seattle-Tacoma, WA, within a year. Thanks to Lindsay’s leadership and guidance, it has grown to 10 markets across the country with more than 300% year-over-year growth from 2021 to 2022. In 2023 this momentum is projected to continue and accelerate, solidifying the program and the strategic nursing function as a critical component of DispatchHealth’s mission to provide high-acuity care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Furthermore, her dedication and hard work have been instrumental in developing and implementing the organization’s virtual care program and aftercare program, which has helped improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions.

We are incredibly proud of Lindsay and her accomplishments, and we are honored that the Denver Business Journal has recognized her as one of the top young professionals in the city. We look forward to seeing all the remarkable things she will continue to accomplish.
